The art of storytelling through embroidery
Since 1991, Mapula Embroideries have produced hand embroidered pieces which capture the spirit and vibrancy of South Africa. The project aims to create a sustainable income for its embroiderers in the Winterveld and Hammanskraal areas by providing opportunities to supplement their incomes by creating embroideries.
Mapula means ‘Mother of Rain’. Rain brings relief, stimulates growth and provides hope for new opportunities. Join us on a storytelling journey of hope, creativity and inspiration!
